Profile
SDGI provides world-class facilities in terms of reference material required by the students. The library houses more than 5000 books, 150 national and international journals, and 50 technical CDs. The campus Library is a modern library meant to fulfil the information needs of students, faculty, and staff of various Departments of the College.

Library Membership
The following shall be entitled to enrol themselves as members of the library:
- The faculty members of various departments
- Non-teaching staff of the university
- All the students and research scholars enrolled in the various departments of the university
Membership requires filling out a library membership card duly recommended by the department head. Each member is issued a non-transferable bar-coded library card.

Rules & Regulations
- Library privileges are extended to members only.
- Registration must be done offline via a form.
- Library ID cards are non-transferable.
- Members must always carry their ID card.
- Books are issued only on presenting the ID card.
- Books must be returned before the summer vacation.
- Reference books are for in-library use only.
- Members are responsible for any book damage.
Loss / Mutilation of Books
- Loss of a book requires payment of latest price + Rs.50 processing + Rs.50 binding + overdue fine if any.
- If the book is part of a set, the entire set must be replaced or paid for.
- If out of print, double the price will be charged.
- Mutilation/theft leads to heavy fines and possible exam suspension.
Code of Conduct
- Maintain silence at all times.
- No sleeping, smoking, or spitting in the library.
- No damage or markings on books.
- No food, drinks, or alcohol allowed.
- No mobile phones or gadgets in use.
- All belongings are subject to check at the entrance.
- Misconduct can lead to cancellation of membership.
- Library staff and principal reserve rights to suspend privileges.
